The busiest man in Hollywood! Ryan Seacrest is officially returning to host the reboot of American Idol on ABC, he confirmed on his morning show, Live with Kelly & Ryan. Kelly Ripa could not have more excited for her co-anchor and even joked she’s going to audition this time around.
News broke in May that ABC was going to reboot the classic singing competition. It aired on Fox for 15 seasons before they pulled the plug on it. Ryan said, “I believe ABC is the perfect home for Idol, and I’ve every confidence the show’s legions of fans will love it.”
So far the only other major named attached to AI is Katy Perry. She announced she’s going to one of judges and is making big money to do so! The singer is reportedly making a whopping $25 million for the TV role.
