Mariah Carey’s must-haves are hitting a sour note with TV producers across the pond. American Idol honcho Simon Cowell is considering making the elusive chanteuse a judge on his U.K. singing competition, The X Factor, but after seeing her insane list of requests, he’s wondering if she’s mistaken herself for the queen of England!
“Mariah wants use of a private jet to fly her kids over at any time,” dishes a British source. “She also requires that her bodyguards, trainers, stylists, florists, masseuses and makeup people have access to the plane at all times. Plus the show needs to pay their salaries.”
As for Mariah’s proposed paycheck? A cool $3 million, not to mention she’s picked out a mansion with a spa, pool and recording studio — all on The X Factor’s dime, of course.
“Producers tried to tell her that all of this is beyond over the top,” divulges the eavesdropper. “But Mariah says she’s the greatest singer in the world and you get what you pay for.”
