Shock Revelation

Lisa Rinna’s Daughter Amelia Reveals Shock Anorexia Struggles

‘Last year there was no doubt I was not ok’ she wrote on instagram.

In an emotional and personal revelation, Lisa Rinna’s daughter,Amelia Gray Hamlin, admits she suffered from anorexia, and she says she wants to help others in her situation.

“Usually, when people are struggling with an eating disorder it stems from your mind, and your body is a reflection of it.”

“I could go on and on about that time of my life, but the most important part about it was waking up one morning and deciding to stop sabotaging myself,” she shared on Instagram.

“Once I got the help that I needed…I began to try to love myself for me.”

Hamlin, 16, went public with her problems after fans critiqued her figure, comparing her body to times when she was skinnier.

“Last year at this time there was no doubt that I was not okay. Not only physically but also mentally,” she wrote.

“I feel like sometimes people forget that just because your job involves being in front of the camera,  doesn’t mean you can’t have bad days. We’re human. All of us. Instead of people ever commenting on my mental stability, people commented on my weight.”

The statuesque teen model revealed that she has also been diagnosed with the thyroid condition known as Hashimoto’s disease.

“I have a lot of health complications after starving myself for so long so it’s going to be a journey that I go through for a large part of my life.”

But most of all, she is ready to reach out to others like her.

”I am SO beyond humbled and grateful to have the platform that I do at such a young age, and to wake up every morning with a little girl reaching out to me and telling me I am her inspiration, really makes me feel like I have a purpose. I went through this journey not for attention, not for people to pitty (sic) me, but to help.”

Her famous mom also dealt with accusations of eating disorders – sometimes from some of her own friends and castmates.

Kim Richards first sparked the rumors a few years ago, when she told Rinna, that if she ate a piece of bread, “she might be a happier person,” during a spat at a restaurant in Amsterdam.

Rinna, now 54, was adamant that she practices a healthy lifestyle for her whole family.

“I eat healthy. I workout. I do yoga six times a week,” she said. “I want to be a role model for my daughters and show them what is healthy.

“Eating disorders are very, very serious,” she continued. “It’s not something that should be taken lightly.

“There has to be a thoughtful conversation about eating disorders. It can happen to anyone, and if someone is struggling with it, I would urge them to get help.
