It’s hard to believe that it’s already been two months since Cory Monteith‘s tragic passing, and Lea Michele is still keeping him close to her heart. The actress was photographed leaving a salon on Thursday, proudly sporting her “Cory” necklace.
Lea began wearing the piece of jewelry after her boyfriend unexpectedly passed away from a drug and alcohol overdose in July. The memorabilia has even transferred over to Glee, and the 27-year-old showed off a photo of herself on-set wearing the name “Finn,” Cory’s character, around her neck.
The show will address Finn’s death in the third episode of Season 5. Writers revealed that they originally toyed with the idea of having him pass in a similar way to Cory, but eventually decided against it. Lea will reportedly only appear in the episode at the end, although it’s been said that her scene is extremely powerful.
Glee returns on Sept. 26 at 9 p.m.
