Earlier this week a delighted Kim Kardashian and Kanye West expressed appreciation for their surrogate for bringing their third child, a healthy baby girl, into the world.
And now, in an exclusive interview with the surrogate’s parents, RadarOnline.com has revealed the dramatic moments from the delivery room.
The surrogate, whose identity the Wests have kept under wraps, lives in San Diego. However, the surrogate’s mother confirmed to publication that the birth did take place north of from her California home at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
The surrogate’s mother revealed that she’s heard from her daughter since giving birth to the newest Kardashian offspring — and so far, so good.
“She is doing well,” her mother dished. “[Tuesday] she told me she felt fine.”
The surrogate’s father has also been in touch and revealed that, to his knowledge, his daughter did not have any complications during the delivery.
“No, everything went well,” he said. “As a matter of fact, she’s at home resting.”
The surrogate is married with two children of her own.
“She’s safe at home with her husband,” her mother added.
The surrogate’s mother also revealed whether or not the woman who carried Kim and Kanye’s child was a fan of the A-list pair.
“She may have been!” her mother remarked.
The mother added that her daughter had a cordial relationship with the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her rapper husband during the last nine months.
“According to what my daughter told me, yes, they got along,” she revealed.
Of course, giving birth to the spawn of two of the most famous celebrities on the planet was no easy task. The surrogate’s mother confirmed security was “high” at the hospital.
And while the surrogate was reportedly joined in the room by Kim and Kanye, her own father was much farther away.
“I’m her dad and I live 3,500 miles from her!” he remarked.
Despite the distance, the surrogate’s parents continue to remain in touch with her during this monumental week. Her mother said she will continue to stay “at home resting.”
“She’s told me, ‘I’m fine, I love you, mom,’” the mother said.
Now that the Kardashian’s second daughter has been born, the Wests and the surrogate can go their separate ways.
However, recent reports indicate that may be hard for Kardashian, who shouted out her surrogate in her birth announcement.
“We are incredibly grateful to our surrogate who made our dreams come true with the greatest gift one could give and to our wonderful doctors and nurses for their special care,” the KUWTK star wrote.
