After her messy breakups from boyfriends Tom Hiddleston and Calvin Harris within the last year, Taylor Swift was looking for a night drama-free, especially after her arch-enemy Kanye West‘s latest public stunt on Sept. 24.
The 39-year-old rapper was performing in Taylor’s hometown in Nashville, when he felt inspired to bring up his bad blood with the pop singer in front of the crowd again. He decided to blast his “Famous” track three times in a row, prompting his fans to start screaming “f**k Taylor Swift.”
“I need to hear that loud in Nashville,” Kanye said on stage. “So many people told me, ‘You’ve got to take that line out of the song. You got to play it safe, but this is what rap music is. This is what art is. Saying how you feel. And this song is how I feel.”
