Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are set to wed! According to an insider, the former New York Yankee proposed to the Shades of Blue actress over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and they’re already making plans for a “fairy tale” wedding!
“This has been a long time coming. Things clicked with her and Alex right from the beginning,” the source told OK! magazine, adding that A-Rod “has been telling pals for a while that he picked out a 9-carat diamond, hoping to blow her away.”
The 9-carat diamond, $5 million ring would top the 8.5-carat stunner Jen’s third husband Marc Anthony gave her when he proposed in 2004.
Alex even enlisted the help of J.Lo’s twins Max and Emme, and his daughters Natasha and Ella, to make the proposal extra special.
“Word is they all worked together to bake Jennifer a cake and wrote, ‘Will you marry me?’ in icing. Alex put the ring on top, and they surprised her with it. It was so sweet and heartfelt,” the insider revealed.
Although Jen’s been married three times before, the source said these days, J.Lo feels “for the first time” that she’s in “a good relationship” and is sparing no expense for the wedding!
“Friends expect she’ll make it a fairy-tale wedding, complete with a princess dress,” the insider shared. “There’s a chance they’ll have a ceremony with just family, then head to the French Riviera for a huge wedding with plenty of glitz and glamour.”
“Of course, Alex will let Jennifer have anything she wants,” the source added. “She’s his dream girl!”
