Christmas may be the happiest time of year for some families, but not in the Mila Kunis/Ashton Kutcher household!
The couple has instituted a new rule at home—no gifts!
The celebrity couple, who are parents to 3-year-old Wyatt and 11-month-old Dimitri, refuse to shower their kids with presents this year.
“It doesn’t really matter,” Mila told People. “Last year when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was two and it was too much. We didn’t give her anything — it was the grandparents.”
The actress, whose upcoming film is coincidentally titled A Bad Moms Christmas complained about how spoiled kids get about gifts.
“[They] no longer appreciate the one gift. They don’t even know what they’re expecting; they’re just expecting stuff.”
So the couple begged their parents to just give their kids one gift each this year, though Mila and Ashton will refuse to give them any.
“We’d like to take a charitable donation, to the Children’s Hospital or a pet [or] whatever you want.’ That’s our new tradition.”
At least the pair has agreed on this one tradition. Just last week they were at odds over how they were going to educate their kids—homeschool or public school.
