Eminem Announces New Album and Single During the VMAs

In terms of musical comebacks, the world can’t stop talking about ‘NSYNC‘s big reunion at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. However, they’re not the only musical act returning to the spotlight! Rapper Eminem may not have performed at the show, but he did announce his new music during a commercial for Dr. Dre’s headphones, Beats by Dre.

The album, MMLP2 (Marshall Mathers LP 2, will hit stores on Nov. 5. It will be a sequel to the rapper’s most successful record, Marshall Mathers LP, from the year 2000, which holds hits like “The Real Slim Shady” and “The Way I Am.” The first single will be called “Berserk” — it was previewed in the new commercial and will be available on Aug. 27.

This will be Eminem’s first album since 2010’s Recovery. He’s already dropped the track “Survivor,” also on the record, and appearing in the video game Call of Duty: Ghosts.
