Watch: Adorable Footage Of The Kardashian Clan Meeting Baby Chi For The 1st Time

The ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’ cameras capture the perfect moment.

This January, the Kardashian clan welcomed a new member when Kim and Kanye West had daughter Chicago. But the reality star didn’t give birth to the little one, like she did with kids North and Saint. Instead, because of Kim’s health problems, they used a surrogate.

So the moment when the family met its newest addition was a particularly special one, and Kim opened up about the experience on this week’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Watch the clip above to see the moment!

The KUWTK star was initially nervous. “I think when you have a surrogate, you don’t feel the everyday pains and it just kind of creeps up on you. It’s crazy how fast it comes,” she said.

Thankfully, the 37-year-old said her feelings about Chi were familiar. She explained, “When the baby came out, there was no weird feeling that I was so nervous about, [like] ‘Am I gonna feel the same way?”

Meeting her was just like meeting her other newborns. “That was instantly a relief for me, because that’s what I was most nervous about, and I just feel lucky that I’ve had such a good experience with surrogacy,” the KKW beauty mogul said.

Kim also revealed some of the names they considered before landing on Chicago. Kanye’s cousin has some suggestions he gave to Kim.

“His cousin’s like “Miracle” and I’m like ‘Miracle West?’ That’s like Miracle Whip and that’s like the biggest stripper name of all time,” she told Kourtney. She also thought about zodiac signs and biblical names for the little one, before going in a completely different direction.

“Kanye is originally from Chicago and the city is really connected to his memories of his mom,” she said. Donda West died in 2007.
