Usher might want to start getting comfortable in his big red chair on this season of The Voice! During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Wed., Feb 19, CeeLo Green announced that he’s leaving the singing competition show for good.
“I’m not coming back at all,” he revealed, adding, “I don’t want to wear out my welcome there, you know what I’m saying? I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album.”
The “Forget You” singer sat alongside Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine for seasons 1-3 of the show. He took a temporary hiatus (along with Xtina) for season 4, when Usher and Shakira filled in. The original judges were back together for season 5, but the upcoming season 6, airing Monday, will once again feature the season 4 panel.
Christina has yet to comment on whether or not she’ll return to the show.
