Love Wins

Watch: Can You See Carrie Underwood's Facial Scars In Her New Music Video?

The country singer got more than 40 stitches last year after a fall.

Carrie Underwood released the music video for her new single, “Love Wins,” and fans are a little distracted by one thing. Last year, the singer had a tragic fall that left her with over 40 stitches on her face. She warned fans that her face was going to look different. Watch the clip above to see if you can see the scars on her face in the new video.

In a recent interview, Carrie described 2017 as one of the toughest she’s had to gone through. She said it was “more ups than downs.” But 2018 is definitely looking up for the singer. Last month, she announced she’s pregnant with a little girl.

The “Before He Cheats” singer brings that message of hope to her new song and video, which deals with issues of gun violence, alcoholism, and other social problems.

I do think that we as humans are inherently good and we need to remember that. Because we’re different, that doesn’t make somebody else bad, it just makes us different,” she told Taste of Country. “We wanted that song to be hopeful and to maybe make somebody stop and think about that.”

“We weren’t trying to speak negatively about our world, because we live in an amazing world, but I feel like we get really caught up in surface things and I feel like in this world, we’re quick to get angry at each other,” she said. “I personally think that we’re all different for a reason. I feel like if you just sit down and talk to somebody who’s not like you and keep it calm, we can all learn from each other.”
