Aviva Drescher Addresses Rumors She's Leaving RHONY

Is Aviva Drescher leaving The Real Housewives of New York City after Season 6?! That’s been one report floating around the rumor mill lately, especially since the reality star was taken out of the show’s credits.

But, during an appearance on Veria Living Live, the Leggy Blonde author says she has no plans to leave the Bravo series as of now.

“No one knows about the next year until after the reunion,” she explains. “I couldn’t go to the Berkshires because I had to visit two of my children at Sleepaway camp, and my children come first. So, I wasn’t in that filming weekend, those two or three days. Why they pulled me out of the credits, maybe they’re just slapping me on the wrist or something!”

Regardless, the 44-year-old has been keeping busy doing press for her new book Leggy Blonde. In the memoir, she spends a lot of time touching on the accident that caused her to lose a leg when she was just a child.

“I felt it was important to share my experience because I’m very well adapted to it at this point and I wanted to give people hope,” she says. “Not only those who are missing limbs, but anybody with a physical or emotional challenge. I wanted to offer hope to people on a grand scale.”

So, what does Aviva think of Amy Purdy, who recently came in second place on Dancing With the Stars despite having two prosthetic legs?!  “I think she’s incredible and I was so proud that she was there as a double amputee doing this,” she admits. “I mean, I had tingles on my arms. But, at the same token, I was kind of thinking to myself, ‘It’s kind of normal!’ Because amputees can do everything that two legged people can do!”

Veria Living Live airs weekdays at 1 pm ET on the Veria Living TV Network.
