Victoria Beckham Addresses David Beckham Alleged Affair: ‘People Said It Wouldn’t Work’

Victoria Beckham sat down with Alex Cooper for an episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast where she opened up about husband David Beckham’s alleged affair with Rebecca Loos.

Cooper, 31, asked the former pop star how she and David, 50, “dealt with speculations” throughout their marriage.

Victoria, 51, said, “Do you know… we’ve had so much thrown at us and we were talking about it because we’ve recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary and by the way, people said it wouldn’t work.”

“We’ve had so much thrown at us and we’ve always just been there together and just ridden the damn storm,” she added.

Rumors began swirling in 2004 that the football star was having an affair with Loos, who worked as his personal assistant. Loos later sold her story to the tabloids, which she told 60 Minutes Australia in 2025 was “very brave.”

In 2007, the Spice Girls singer told W Magazine in a joint interview with David, “No one said marriage was going to be easy. Yes, there have been bumps along the road. But the fact is we’ve come out of everything we’ve been through stronger and happier. It’s even better now than when we were first married.”

“It was the hardest period for us, because it felt like the world was against us,” she explained in the couple’s 2023 Netflix documentary, Beckham. “And here’s the thing: We were against each other, if I’m being completely honest.”

The soccer star — who has denied the affair — added, “I don’t know how we got through it, in all honesty. Victoria is everything to me — to see her hurt was incredibly difficult.”
