Travis Kelce Will Have to Prove Himself If He Wants a Career in Entertainment Post-Football

With his NFL future still up in the air, Travis Kelce is, as expected, turning his attention to the entertainment biz. The 36-year-old has already dipped his toe in with a small part in Happy Gilmore 2 and as host of the Prime Video game show Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? And of course, there’s his hit podcast with brother Jason Kelce, New Heights. But a source tells Star that Hollywood bigwigs aren’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for Taylor Swift’s fiancé.

“No matter how high his profile is, nobody is just going to hand him anything,” says the insider, adding that industry pros can tell that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s “head just isn’t in the game.”

Unlike strivers who come to Hollywood hungry to make their fortune, Trav has already amassed a reported $90 million plus all the fame he can handle.

“Nobody is getting on TV or into action movies unless they really want it and can prove they can handle that kind of responsibility,” says the insider. “To branch out, Travis has to show that he can do more than a goofy appearance in Happy Gilmore 2. If he really wants this second career, he’s going to have to dance for it like everyone else!”
