He doesn’t seem to age and at 62 is still performing all his own death-defying stunts. Whatever Tom Cruise is doing to fight the march of time, it’s abundantly clear it’s working. And it’s a lot of work! Sources tell Star that the Mission: Impossible star is devoting more and more effort to anti-aging regimens — and nothing is too wacky for him to try. His latest, according to an insider, is extreme breath control. “A few years ago, he started to get really interested in all aspects of breathing and how dialing it in can really be a game changer for overall health,” explains the insider, adding that the actor tapes his mouth shut before going to sleep (“He looks like a hostage!”) and has become fascinated by free divers who can hold their breath for 10 minutes or more underwater. Not only that, but the Oscar winner does daily cryotherapy at home and binges oxygen in a personal hyperbaric oxygen chamber. All in an effort to extend his life. “He treats his body like a temple and firmly believes it’ll pay off in the long term with a far longer lifespan than the average person,” says the source. So, can we look forward to Mission: Impossible 50?
