‘The Hills’ Alum Spencer Pratt Promises to ‘Expose the System’ While Announcing Mayoral Bid
It was a plot twist even the most seasoned reality TV producer couldn’t dream up: While commemorating the one-year anniversary of the devastating Palisades Fire, which destroyed his home and many others’, Spencer Pratt announced he’s running for mayor of Los Angeles.
“I’m done waiting for someone to take real action,” the Hills alum, 42, who has been outspoken in his criticism of California governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles mayor Karen Bass — explained during his impassioned speech at the “They Let Us Burn!” protest.
“This isn’t just a campaign, this is a mission,” he added. “We’re going to expose the system.” The election will be held on June 2.
