Taylor Swift ‘Taking a Different Approach’ to 2025 NFL Season: ‘She Wants to Be Less Intrusive’

It was a Super Bowl rematch as the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the visiting Philadelphia Eagles Sept. 14 at Arrowhead Stadium. (The Eagles won again, 20–17.) One big change: Two weeks after he asked her to marry him, KC tight end Travis Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift — usually a regular in the stands — was nowhere to be found.

Or was she? The 35-year-old reportedly arrived at the stadium hidden behind a protective screen, leading some to believe she was concerned about her safety. But an insider tells Star the “So High School” singer is more interested in protecting her relationship with Travis, also 35.

“Taylor’s taking a different approach to football season this year,” says the insider. “The previous two years were a whirlwind. This time around, she wants to be less intrusive.”

Now a committed football fan, Taylor has taken heat from diehard KC Chiefs backers who grumble that the TV cameras spend more time panning to her than showing the field. Instead of “pissing off a few dads, Brads and Chads,” as she dubbed her haters, she intends to stay low-key.

“Neither she or Travis wants their engagement to overshadow the game,” says the insider. “Travis wants to get to the Super Bowl and win it this time, and Taylor doesn’t want to give the arrogant football fans any reason to blame her in case the Chiefs lose.”
