Sydney Sweeney Has ‘Never Gotten Work Done,’ Costar Amanda Seyfried Jokes ‘Call Me’ When She’s Ready

Sydney Sweeney is setting the record straight.

In a game of “Truth Serum” with Allure that was shared to YouTube on Thursday, December 4, Sweeney’s The Housemaid costar Amanda Seyfried asked, “What is one beauty rumor about yourself that you want to debunk right now?”

“Let’s debunk them all,” the Euphoria actress, 28, began. “I have never gotten work done. I am so scared of needles, you have no idea.”

That’s when the Mamma Mia! star, 40 — who has been open about getting Botox throughout the years — admitted, “But it’s really effective once you get older. I’m telling you right now.”

Still, Sweeney insisted that she is “too scared of needles” and doubled down on the fact that she’s never altered her appearance.

“You guys, you cannot compare a photo of me from when I was 12 to a photo of me at 26 with professional makeup and lighting,” the Anyone But You star said, looking directly at the camera. “Of course, I’m gonna look different! Everybody on social media is insane.”

That didn’t stop Seyfried from singing the praises of cosmetic procedures.

“When you do [decide to get work done],” she told Sweeney, “you gotta call me, and I’ll give you a little bit of Ativan [which is used to treat anxiety], and you’ll be so excited. But you don’t need it yet.”

Sweeney continued to share the reasons why she couldn’t possibly have had any procedures done.

“If I did, you guys, my face would be even,” she said. “Like, one eyelid opens a little more than the other. When I was younger I had a wakeboarding accident right here, and I needed 19 stitches, so I feel like it pulls like my eye just a little differently than the other.”

Sweeney has previously opened up about not getting Botox, telling Variety in October that she was even encouraged to do so.

“I had someone tell me to fix my face or else I’m not going to make it. I should get Botox,” she said. “I was 16!”
