The shocking death of Ozzy Osbourne at 76 on July 22 rocked the music world. While fans turned out to mourn the Black Sabbath singer in his native Birmingham, England, sources tell Star his widow, Sharon Osbourne, is in a panic about her finances.
The “War Pigs” singer and his wife were hit with two separate tax liens, one in 2023 for nearly $700,000 and another in 2024 for almost $4.5 million. “Sharon will have to deal with that on top of everything,” an insider tells Star, adding, “She’s already grieving and in pieces that Ozzy went so suddenly.”

On paper, the rocker was worth an estimated $220 million, but the insider says more money was going out than coming in. The dad of six (from two marriages) “always prided himself on how well they did as a family,” says the insider. “He built up an impressive portfolio, but outgoing expenses were steep.”

As she struggles to accept the loss of her husband of more than 40 years, Sharon, 72, is leaning on her family. “It’s tragic,” notes the insider. “She’s surrounded by her kids and grandkids and taking comfort in that as she faces this financial mess.”
