Rumors are swirling that Robert Irwin is dating Dancing With the Stars troupe member Hailey Bills — and it’s got his family worried that the 21-year-old wildlife conservationist has taken his eyes off the Mirrorball Trophy prize.

“He went into this with a really clear focus on using this as a way to bring in money for the family,” a source tells Star. “But now that he’s living this Hollywood life with all these distractions, he’s lost focus a lot.”

Irwin has been spending “a ton of time” with the 19-year-old, notes the source. A TikTok video posted on Monday, October 27 showing the Australia Zoo worker hanging out with Bills and her fellow troupe dancers outside of the ballroom only fueled the rumors that a romance is brewing between the pair.

“I would love nothing more than Hailey and him to date,” a user swooned in the comments section. “Robert everywhere but rehearsing,” joked another. “I need him to win so badly,” declared a third.

So do his loved ones.

“Robert’s family has nothing against Hailey. They really like her,” the source insists. “They just want Robert to cool his jets when it comes to dating because right now, he needs to put all his attention on winning this competition.”

The longer Irwin stays on the hit ABC show, the more money he can earn. Contestants reportedly take home upwards of $295,000 for making it to the grand finale.
