‘RHOBH’ Producers Brought Denise Richards Back Because They’re ‘Desperate to Save the Show’
Weeks ago, when Denise Richards was blindsided by husband Aaron Phypers’ divorce filing — and his demand for spousal support — the 54-year-old’s former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmates Teddi Mellencamp and Erika Jayne were quick to come to her defense.
Since then, the divorce drama has been getting nastier, including allegations of abuse from both sides (both deny the allegations). Now, a source tells Star Bravo has invited the Denise Richards & Her Wild Things star back to Housewives to goose ratings — and those same costars are furious.
“Producers are desperate to save the show, and Denise and Aaron’s drama is too irresistible to pass up,” says the insider. Good news for fans, but bad news for the relevance-obsessed cast.
“Most of the Beverly Hills gals aren’t happy,” adds the insider. “Denise burned a lot of bridges before, and now here she is stealing all the headlines again.”
