Reese Witherspoon and Oliver Haarmann Are ‘Very Much Together’ Despite ‘Unconventional’ Relationship

Reese Witherspoon and Oliver Haarmann are going strong, even if their relationship isn’t following the typical Hollywood playbook.

“Reese and Oliver are very much together,” a source exclusively tells Star. “The relationship may seem a little unconventional to a lot of folk because they have very busy lives that mean they’re not joined at the hip like a lot of other traditional couples.”

“But it works for them, they’re very happy, totally exclusive and going with the flow just like they have for quite some time now,” adds the source.

According to the source, their relationship thrives on independence and mutual respect.

“Reese loves how low-key Oliver is, he doesn’t get starry-eyed or intimidated by her Hollywood status at all,” the source explains, adding that “he’s proud to be dating her and tells everyone that she’s a phenomenal actress.”

However, what he values most is how business savvy The Morning Show star, 50, is.

“What he respects most about Reese – besides her kindness and the physical attraction they obviously share – is how accomplished and successful she is in the world of business,” the source continues. “She’s more than proven herself as a bona fide mogul, and yet she’s still incredibly hard working and ambitious. It’s not as though she’s just sitting around counting her money.”

The admiration goes both ways.

“In turn, Reese admires Oliver for his intellect, his sharp judgment and his incredibly kind and mild mannered disposition,” the source adds. “He makes her feel secure, appreciated and loved. She could tell right away he was a very special person and they just clicked.”

Despite their busy schedules, the couple takes time for each other with the source saying that “they meet up when they can” and it’s often at “fancy hotels or five-star resorts.”

Plus, it appears that they’ve blended into each other’s lives seamlessly.

“He’s shown her his world and she’s introduced him to the people who matter most to her, in Nashville as well as L.A,” the source shares. “Everyone’s very happy for Reese, they can tell she’s being treated well and that she’s stimulated in this relationship.”

For now, the situation remains open ended.

“Reese isn’t giving the impression that wedding bells are in the air, but if things continue to go as well as they have then it’s not beyond the realms by any means,” the source says.

“A lot of Reese’s friends are flat out telling her he’s a keeper and that she’d do a lot worse than to take this to the next level,” the source adds. “But ultimately it’s up to her, so they’re trying not to pressure.”

Witherspoon was first linked to Haarmann, 58, in September 2024, and as Star previously reported, the Big Little Lies actress was fine keeping their relationship hush-hush.

“She’s found all the sneaking around exciting and romantic,” a source told Star in April 2025. “Oliver is not comfortable parading for the cameras. But that suits Reese.”

Before Haarmann, Witherspoon was married to Ryan Phillippe from 1999 to 2006, and they share a daughter, Ava, 26, and son, Deacon, 22. Their divorce was finalized in 2008, and she moved on with Jim Toth.

They officially tied the knot in 2011 and welcomed son, Tennessee, the following year. However, by 2023, she and Toth had announced their separation.
