In For the Fight of His Life

A legendary bounty hunter faces his biggest challenges yet

Celebrity bounty hunter Duane “The Dog” Chapman is back with a vengeance in the new series: Dog’s Most Wanted, airing exclusively on WGN America.  Coming out of retirement to chase down the most dangerous and wanted criminals across the country, this dramatic series follows Dog and his team of bounty hunters as they work side-by-side with law enforcement to hunt down the worst-of-the-worst and bring them to justice.

However, the biggest fight of all doesn’t involve chasing down fugitives, it involves Duane’s beloved wife Beth, who was initially diagnosed with cancer back in 2017 and had more recently received worse news about her prognosis. While the Chapman family waits for answers from doctors, Dog takes Beth on the road for the one thing he knows will cheer her up, some good ole’ bounty hunting! This riveting expedition ultimately becomes bittersweet as Beth bravely fights – and tragically loses – her battle with cancer.

Star recently caught up with Dog to talk about what it takes to be a Bounty Hunter and what viewers can look forward to on the upcoming season of Dog’s Most Wanted premiering Wednesday, September 4th at 9/8c on WGN America.

Star: How did you get involved in bounty hunting?

Dog: That’s such a long story. I said in my book, “You Can Run But You Can’t Hide” that it started with Bigfoot.

Star: What was the most outrageous thing that has happened to you while bounty hunting? What is the biggest challenge you face?

Dog: Chasing a guy who dressed like a girl to disguise himself. We got him. The biggest challenge is not taking street justice on some of them once they are captured.

Star: What is your biggest piece of advice if someone wanted to follow in your footsteps and be a Bounty Hunter?

Dog: Carry a Bible with you.

Star: What Bounty Gear is “in your bag” and what do you always take on a hunt?

Dog: Non-lethal weapons, vision enhancement tools for day and night vision. A first aid kit, not for my team..hahaha! Handcuffs without the key, and several secret weapons.

Star: What sets “Dog’s Most Wanted” apart from your previous series?

Dog: These are the meanest, most dangerous predators in America!
