Whether you’re rich and famous or not, we know one thing for sure, when money is involved, temptation is often not too far behind. Here are 5 celebrities that fell prey to their own fortunes, and partied way too hard.

Charlie Sheen

It’s no secret that the former Two and a Half Men star likes a good time and he’s not shy to admit it. While he’s been cleaning up his act in recent years, he’s certainly known for his partying lifestyle. From wild parties to a $2,000 a day substance abuse problem, Sheen sure knows how to spend his cash.

Lindsay Lohan

Another example of how the Hollywood lifestyle isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be, Lindsay Lohan’s story is a reminder of why having too much money and fame can sometimes be a problem. Following the success of movies like Freaky Friday (2003) and Mean Girls (2004), Lohan was on her way to the top when she let her habits get the better of her, going through over $5 million in a few years’ worth of partying.

Kiefer Sutherland

The Lost Boys (1987) and 24 (2001-2014) star, Kiefer Sutherland has also been known to party too hard. After being arrested for driving under the influence, Sutherland was released on a $25,000 bail payment. Sutherland has since worked hard to clean up his act, but his habitual partying has cost him a lot of money over the years.

Courtney Love

Another celebrity whose reputation stems beyond her chosen career, Courtney Love is no stranger to tabloid culture, much of it due to her expensive partying habits. Supposedly, the rockstar spent roughly $27 million of the estate she inherited from her late husband, Kurt Cobain and the royalties from Nirvana on lawsuits and nightly outings.

Lil’ Wayne

Once the talk of the rap community, Dwayne “Lil’ Wayne” Carter was once reported to have spent over $30,000 in under 3 hours at The Ace of Diamonds club in Los Angeles. He also spent around $55,000 a month on his private jet and had around $3 million in artwork to fill his Miami mansion, all of which was later repossessed due to his massive debts.
