Portia De Rossi ‘Feels Totally Suffocated’ While Living Abroad With Wife Ellen DeGeneres
Too close for comfort? Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi fled the States for mega acreage in the British countryside, but a source says Portia is feeling fenced in. Especially now that fresh toxic-workplace allegations have emerged about Ellen — including that the former talk-show host, 67, disapproved of male staffers conversing with Portia.
The Arrested Development star, 52, is starting to feel “like every aspect of her life is micromanaged,” explains the source. “If she wants to go for a horse ride, a jog, even a trip to the shops, it’ll be met with a dozen questions. Ellen hates going anywhere by herself so Portia’s always on the hook to be by her side.”
After ditching their Hollywood community for a secluded life in the Cotswolds, “Portia feels totally suffocated much of the time,” claims the source. “She loves Ellen dearly but she’s insisting on some breathing room. She can’t go on like this.”
