Travis Scott pled guilty to disorderly conduct nine months after the rapper was arrested for allegedly inciting a riot during a Lollapalooza concert in Arkansas.
The rapper, who just
welcomed daughter Stormi Webster with girlfriend
Kylie Jenner a few days ago, was arrested and initially charged with inciting a riot, disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of a minor during one of his concerts in May 2017.
In a video released of the incident, Travis said, “Everyone in a green shirt get the f*** back,” referring to the security that was keeping the fans from the stage. He also said, “We want rage,” as fans rushed the stage.
However, while the new father pled guilty, his two misdemeanor charges were dismissed after plea negotiations last month, according to his attorney Doug Norwood.
“They overcharged him. They tried to get him for inciting a riot. The video did not show any of that,” Doug said.
According to reports Travis Scott who was charged under his government name Jacques Webster was required to pay $6,825.31 to two people who claimed they were injured at the concert and $640 in court cost.
A spokesperson for the Rogers Police Department said that at the time of the incident the rapper had “encouraged people to rush the stage and bypass security protocols to ensure concert goer’s safety.”
“During the rush to the stage several people were injured, including an employee from the security company hired to help monitor and control the crowd, and a member of the police department.”
