The View host Meghan McCain is usually known for her conservative politics, but she was honored for something different this weekend. The 34-year-old was awarded the Harvey Milk Foundation Lilla Watson Medal on March 30 for her work as an LGBTQ ally. Click through the gallery for all the info.

Meghan announced the news on her Twitter, writing, “I am deeply honored and touched to be receiving the @HMilkFoundation Harvey Milk Foundation Lilla Watson Medal at the diversity honors this Saturday. I have always been proud to be an #LGBT #rights advocate and ally & can't wait to celebrate love + equality this upcoming weekend.”
