Patrick Dempsey Slams Shonda Rhimes For Killing His Character Off 'Grey's Anatomy'

Fans of Shonda Rhimes' hit show, Grey's Anatomy were stunned when she chose to kill Dr. Eric Shepherd — also known as "McDreamy" — off of the show, but they eventually got over it.

However, judging by his recent comments, Patrick Dempsey has not! As Star has reported, the actor has been on a bit of a downward spiral since being dismissed from the show.

Amid reports that Shonda wrote him off the show because she did not like him personally, Patrick fired back with some personal comments of his own.

"I think she loves being provocative, and that's fine for who she is," he told Entertainment Weekly.

"I think she knows how to deal with the media and what she needs to say to get the response that she’s looking for," he said. "She's very savvy."

As fans know, Shonda has a slew of successful television shows under her belt, and has established herself as a force to be reckoned with.

When asked directly by Larry Wilmore if she'd ever fired an actor because she was not getting along with them, she bluntly admitted, "Yes, and I'm not naming names."
