Faking For The Cameras? Nicole Richie & Joel Madden Take Kids To Carnival Following His Cheerleader Scandal

Nicole Richie and Joel Madden's marriage has been on a rocky path, but the pair put on a united front at the Santa Monica Pier for a carnival in California with their kids, Harlow and Sparrow, on May 25.

But Nicole may have been struggling to have a good time with the family after another one of Joel's cheating scandals rocked their boat.

Star reported earlier this year that Joel and his bros scored courtside tickets to the Los Angeles Lakers game on March 8. But the boys' night was soon distracted by a bubbly blonde cheerleader named Julianna that caught the Good Charlotte rocker's attention during the halftime show.

"Joel couldn't take his eyes off her," a spy spilled to Star in March. And it wasn't long before he made his move. As soon as the game ended, eyewitnesses watched the father of two make a beeline toward the locker room, where he pulled Julianne aside for a chat.

"Joel looked a bit nervous, but he was obviously very interested in her," the source added. "He gave Julianne his phone number, a quick kiss on the cheek and made her promise she would give him a call soon."

This wouldn't be the first cheating scandal that Joel has burdened his marriage. In February earlier this year, a report claimed that Nicole caught her husband sexting another woman.

As Star readers know, Joel and Nicole have been on the brink of divorce — even getting caught without their wedding rings over the holidays.
