Miss Universe 2018 has been crowned! Last night, December 16, Miss Philippines, Catriona Gray, beat out 93 other women for the crown. Steve Harvey hosted the event, which featured some major milestones, like the inclusion of the first openly transgender contestant. Click through the gallery for all the info.

The winner, Catriona, was an early favorite to take home the crown. The 24-year-old is the fourth Filipino Miss Universe. Since 2010, Miss Philippines has always made the top 10.

The gorgeous red dress she wore was really important to her. “When I was 13 years old, my mother told me, ‘I had a dream that you were in Miss Universe, and you won in a red dress,’” Catriona told reporters after her win.

Miss Spain, Angela Ponce, was the first openly transgender contender. She didn’t make the Top 20, but was given a chance to address the audience.

“I’m here to represent diversity of humans in the world,” she said. “My hope is for tomorrow to be able to live in a world of equality for everyone, simply for us all to understand that we are human and that we must make all our lives easier together. That reality for many people is going to change.”
