Miami Dolphins player Kendrick Norton was in a tragic car accident around 1 a.m. on July 4. The 22-year-old defensive tackle lost his arm in the crash.

He signed with the Dolphins this December. Last year, he was on the Carolina Panthers practice squad.
Kendrick’s agent, Malki Kawa, confirmed the news on Twitter. He wrote, “With sadness, I can confirm that Kendrick Norton was in a car accident last night and suffered multiple injuries, including the amputation of his arm. We ask that you continue to pray for him. His family also asks that the public respect Kendrick’s privacy.”
