Meghan McCain appeared on Late Night With Seth Meyers to chat with Seth on May 7. But as their conversation continued, things got heated as the pair disagreed on some political issues. The View host was visibly upset about how the discussion went. The tense environment reminded fans of her frequent blowout fights with Joy Behar.
While they wrapped up the segment on friendly terms, after the show, Meghan’s husband Ben Domenech took to Twitter to rant against the late night host. He ended up sending homophobic tweets that he later deleted. Click through the gallery for all the info on what went down and Ben’s apology.

Seth said he thought she and others took the remarks out of context and reminded her that the representative, who’s Muslim, received many death threats.

But Meghan didn’t buckle. “I stand by every single thing I said, and if that makes me unpopular in this room or in front of you, so be it,” she said.

When Seth defended the congresswoman again, Meghan snapped at him, “Are you her publicist? Are you her press person?” The interview soon ended.

Ben, 37, had a lot to say about it. He sent off
a flurry of homophobic tweets. He wrote, “I see that @sethmeyers, the untalented piece of s**t who only has his job because he regularly gargled
Lorne Michaels’ b**ls, went after my wife tonight with his idiotic anti-Semitic bullshit.”

“Seth is an awful person who is known within the industry for how terrible he is,” he wrote in another message. “He is a monumental a**hole who is utterly unfunny. He deserves the mockery he receives from all the people who laugh at him."

He sent out more attacks, but eventually deleted them all. On May 8, he sent a sort-of apology. He
tweeted, “I love my wife. I apologize for rage tweeting about how Seth Meyers treated her. I don't like him, I think he's a hack, but I shouldn't have done that. I'm sorry to anyone I offended.”
