Madonna & Estranged Son Rocco Ritchie Reunite In London — Their Heartbreaking Meeting Exposed!

As Star previously reported, the 57-year-old spent time with her son Rocco Ritchie, 15, over the weekend in London — but it didn't go as smoothly as expected.

The "Material Girl" was spotted out for a bike ride after his visit, after which a source revealed to RadarOnline that "although Rocco did not spend very much time with Madonna at her house, it was a very productive meeting."

Star readers know that she flew to London specifically to see Rocco, who has been staying with his father, Guy Ritchie, 47. "It was slightly hurtful to Madonna that he did not stay very long because she went all that way to make amends," the insider explained.

"Rocco told Madonna that he really likes living there," the insider said. "He told her he loves his school and he loves his friends. Rocco is genuinely happy in London."

"However, what Madonna took away from his visit is all good," the source noted. "Madonna said she saw that her son has grown into a man and she really witnessed this for the first time this weekend. She respected his opinion, and now she is listening to him like man rather than a child."

But Madonna won't be watching Rocco grow up right before her eyes just yet.

"It seems Madonna has decided to put her son's wants and needs over her own," the insider revealed. "It actually brought her closer together with Rocco than ever before. It's clear she only wants what is best for him."

"Rocco will be staying in London with his father and Madonna said she is okay with it," the insider told Radar. "She knows now that Rocco will always love her as his mother and she is happy that he has found his clique of friends and they don't treat him like Madonna's son. They treat him as their equal. She didn't realize how her fame had overshadowed her son's life in America."
