It’s prom season and proud moms everywhere are posting pictures of their children on their way off to their milestone event, but when
Lisa Rinna posted a group shot of her daughter Amelia and her friends heading to their dance, the
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star’s daughter and her posse were slammed for being “inappropriate” and “underdressed.”
“A little underdressed for prom?! I know you Californians like to be laid back but come on it’s prom!! Pants?,” one person wrote of the casually dressed group.
Another asked: “Why are the gentleman in tuxes and the young ladies are so casual? Kind of disjointed. Either way works but the couples look like the men are going to prom and the ladies are going to brunch.”
“None of these girls are dressed for prom...sloppy outfits,” one Instagram user wrote. Adding, “and the girl wearing the black dress OMG can't believe her mother bought that for her or is letting her wear it.... Totally inappropriate for a teenager.”
The girl in the black dress with the plunging neckline she was referring to was Lisa’s daughter and many user felt the 16-year-old was “underdressed” in a different sense of the word and should have covered up.
Amelia posted a solo picture to her account, and captioned it “can’t hide the gang,” alluding to her obvious cleavage.
Followers were quick to share their opinions beneath her post as well. “So much for embracing teenhood—you just skipped a big part of your developmental years—the bell is rung and you can't un-ring it,” one person wrote.
