While in some cultures it’s common to pierce a baby girl’s ears, sometimes in the hospital, the
American Academy of Pediatrics recommends waiting until the child is old enough to clean and care for the piercings herself. And if you want to pull the trigger anyway, the AAP says to wait at least until the baby has had her first tetanus shot (which usually happens at two months).

Another wrote, “Why the hell has Khloé Kardashian pierced True’s ears? She is 11 weeks old!”
Now fans are just as upset with the youngest member of the Kardashian clan.
One fan tweeted, “Kylie pierced Stormi’s ears. No no no no.”
Another said, “Christ,
Stormi is less than 6 months old and Kylies already got her
ears pierced shouldn’t be allowed at all.” Still, lots of parents decided to pierce their baby’s ears, believing it’s better to do it when the child won’t remember the pain or think to touch the earrings and risk infection.
Based on
an Instagram post
Kim Kardashian shared last week, it doesn’t seem that baby
Chicago joined her cousins in the pierced ears club. In fact,
it looks like the mom of three didn’t pierce the ears of her eldest daughter, 5-year-old
North, either.
