Kristin Cavallari Is Spotted In Chicago Same Day As Brother Michael's Death Is Announced

"We have just been informed by the authorities my brother's body has been found,” Kristen, 28, said in a statement on Dec. 10. “This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving."

His body was found in an area with “steep and rocky” terrain at 10:30 a.m. local time near the Salt Wash area of Utah, near exit 175 on I-70.

His Honda Civic was found abandoned and still running in Monticello, Utah, according to officials. He was last spotted on a gas station video surveillance tape filmed on Nov. 27.

Kristen and her 30-year-old brother were very close, despite his troubled past with the law.

She posted touching tribute to him on her social media accounts.

“My heart is in a million pieces. Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed," she captioned a photo of them as toddlers.

Just a few weeks ago, Kristin welcomed her first daughter, Saylor James, with husband Jay Cutler.
