Kelly Clarkson ‘Blackmailed’ Into Working With Kesha’s Alleged Rapist Dr. Luke — Inside Her Tortured Nightmare

Dr. Luke, 42, produced two of her hits in 2004 —  "Since U Been Gone" in  and "Behind These Hazel Eyes" — and now, the 33-year-old revealed to Australia's KIIS FM that she was "blackmailed" into working with the music producer.

"The last time I worked with him I only worked with him because literally I got blackmailed by my label,” she claimed. “It was a really hard time for me. They were like, ‘We will not put your label out if you don’t do this.’”

Despite the album in question, Breakaway, winning Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Since U Been Gone," it wasn't a rewarding experience for the singer.

“He’s difficult to work with, he’s kind of demeaning,” the American Idol winner said. “Unfortunately when you have that poor a character that so many artists don’t like you, that’s not normal. Obviously he’s a talented dude but he’s lied a lot. Musically it’s been really hard for me because he will just lie to people and it makes the artist look bad.”

As to why she made the decision,  "we have a whole crew to support. People that depend on us for their livelihoods so sometimes you have to make decisions that you just have to swallow that pill.”

Although she thinks he's "not a good person," she claims he "never did anything like [what he did to Kesha] to [her]."

As Star previously reported, Kesha, 29, claims Dr. Luke drugged and raped her — and celebs including Taylor Swift have come out to support the singer.
