Divorce Bombshell! Jennifer Garner Drops A Shocking Statement About Her Split From Ben Affleck

After Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner announced their divorce on June 30, 2015, a day after their 10-year wedding anniversary, Ben’s rumored affair took the heat for their split.

“I turned on CNN one day, and there we were,” she added. “I just won’t do it anymore. I took a silent oath with myself last summer to really stay offline. I am totally clueless about all of it."

But according to Jen, who just broke her silence in the March 2016 issue of Vanity Fair, she blames Ben having “bad judgement” regarding his alleged nanny scandal with 28-year-old Christine Ouzounian.

“Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives,” Jen said during the interview.

The Miracles From Heaven actress said she was forced to talk to her kids about the painful ordeal: “I have had to have conversations about the meaning of ‘scandal’”

Now, the 43-year-old actress told VF that she blames herself just as much as she does Ben for their divorce.

“People have pain — they do regrettable things, they feel shame, and shame equals pain,” she says. “No one needs to hate him for me. I don’t hate him. Certainly we don’t have to beat the guy up. Don’t worry — my eyes were wide open during the marriage.”

Star readers know that the former A-list pair was caught at marriage counseling back in September, but Jen confessed to VF that she feels her situation is very similar to what happened to another famous couple: “When Jen Aniston and Brad Pitt broke up,” she admits to the magazine, “I was dying to see something that said they were getting back together,” but it just never happened.
