United Front For The Kids — Inside Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s Dramatic Post-Split Holiday

Reportedly, the pair's decision to spend this holiday together had less to do with a possible reconciliation, and more to do with putting up a united front for their three children, Violet, 10, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3.

According to what sources told US Weekly, ever since Ben, 43, and Jen, 43, decided to put an end to their 10-year-long marriage in June earlier this year, the couple has rarely spent time together without their kids.

Especially since the Batman v. Superman actor has moved out of the family home, and now resides in a renovated guest cottage on their three acre property, “they don’t hang out. It’s a cordial relationship,” the source explained.

But luckily for the children, even though they are reportedly aware of their parents split, their “lives have not changed much,” the source added. “Things still feel pretty normal to them.”

And Jen has made sure it stays that way. According to the insider, "She always invites him [Ben] to come along. Ben and Jen have made a big push to let the kids know that they will always be a family."

Even though rumors have surfaced that Ben’s relationship with his Live By Night co-star Sienna Miller has become more than strictly professional, sources say Jen has finally given up worrying about what her estranged husband might be up to these days.

“Jen just shrugs her shoulders and says, ‘He can do whatever he wants!’” the source stated. “She feels relieved that she no longer has to worry about what he is doing. All she asks is that he is a good father.”
