‘I Must Have Surgery’ — How Janet Jackson’s Tumor Threat Could End Her Career

According to a source at RadarOnline, the beautiful 49-year-old singer's voice may be in trouble, and her medical team is taking every precaution to figure out what's going on.  

“Doctors found a growth on Janet’s vocal cords that could be serious,” the insider disclosed. “It’s a medical condition that has to be taken care of immediately.”

Dr. Stuart Fischer provided some insight about the "Rhythm Nation" singer's condition to Radar, saying “God forbid that this should be cancer of the larynx, that would abruptly end her ability to ever perform again.”

Dr. Fischer went on to explain that not only would a cancer diagnosis be the end of Janet's singing career, but that she would likely also need assistance in order to talk. "A patient often needs an electrolarynx, or artificial voice box, just to be able to speak."    

The Dr. also noted that “surgery would be very complex, and followed by months of radiation treatment,” although, this is the extreme dire end of the spectrum that hopefully the Poetic Justice actress will not have to face, as the insider attested.

“Janet said she knows that with prayers and her will, she’ll be back out on the road in the spring or early summer.”
