His parents knew something was wrong when on July 10th, 2015, after returning from trying to find a good spot to go fishing, their toddler was nowhere to be found. "I just threw the fishing pole down and left everything where it was," the boy's father told
PEOPLE Magazine. "I ran across the rocks, went up the embankment and screamed."

In the days that followed, up to 200 people searched went looking for the boy in the surrounding areas. Now, close to a year later, DeOrr still remains to be found — and the Lemhi Country sheriff's office believes there could be more to the story.

Sheriff Lynn Bowerman claims the parents could have more to do with their son's disappearance than they're leading on. "They're being less than truthful." the police official claims.

DeOrr's parents claim that's false, and that they've tried to cooperate in any way possible with the authorities. But, Lemhi Couty chief deputy Steve Penner seems to agree with his colleague. "There were four people there," he said about interrogating those present at the scene. "And they have been less than truthful. No one has been cleared."

And though DeOrr's mom and dad believe someone could have abducted their baby boy, officials disagree. "We don't believe it's an abduction," Lynn stated. "We don't have any physical evidence at the time. We found no clothing and no blood."
