Too Rude? Blake Shelton Calls His Relationship With Gwen Stefani 'A Little Weird' During TV Appearance

Blake Shelton will do anything for his girlfriend Gwen Stefani — including trying to write a song with the pop star, but now the 39-year-old is giving out some new details about their love.

Blake appeared on the TODAY show on May 19, where the country crooner revealed some secrets about their latest duet together called "Go Ahead And Break My Heart," which they debuted on The Voice earlier this month.

"It's a little weird," Blake said during the TODAY show interview. "We could not be, on paper, any more different."

"I mean, I'm a country singer and she's a ska, rock, pop, whatever it is... and it's just an odd idea. But man, it's a lot of fun. I've gotta be honest about that," he added.

"The reaction to it has just been... it's been crazy," he said. "I actually wrote that song, started it just to try and impress her, to be honest with you. And I sent it to her just half done... and she wrote the next verse and sent it back to me. And so it was like, oh, we've got a song together. That's kind of cool."

As Star previously reported, Blake and Gwen's relationship has only cemented itself even more to fans after Gwen's recent blowup backstage at The Voice had her boyfriend Blake re-thinking his future at the show.
