Ben Affleck Admits What He Tells His Kids About Why He's Gone So Often — Find Out Why He Told Ellen DeGeneres

As Star told you, Ben Affleck broke his silence on ex Jennifer Garner's shocking Vanity Fair interview, in his very own tell-all confession to The New York Times.

"She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with so she could say, 'Look, I already talked about it — I don’t want to do it again," he told the publication.  

During his recent appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the 43-year-old actor addressed his divorce once again — only this time, he focused the conversation on how the kids are dealing with their highly-publicized split.

"We're good friends," he stated about his estranged ex.  "We're doing our best, our kids are fabulous, and we're working our best for them." But as far as how he explains his absence so much, Ben says he has to twist the truth for his son.  

"When I leave, he'd be like, 'Dad are you going to the Batcave?' I can't [let him down]. I'm like, 'Yes, I am.' Eventually he's going to be in therapy, like, 'You lied to me!' There's no Batcave!" he said. "He thinks I'm in the Batcave now."
