Even with the third season of the show in doubt, it’s been a busy year for Bella. She starred in the romance film Midnight Sun with Patrick Schwarzenegger this March. In the fall, she’ll appear in the highly anticipated Assassination Nation alongside a host of other up and coming starlets, like Odessa Young, Suki Waterhouse, Hari Nef, and Judd Apatow’s daughter Maude Apatow.

Tuesday night, the actress and singer responded to a tweet reporting that Freeform had canceled the program. “If this is how I find out our show is canceled… I’m going to be so upset. Very hurtful Freeform,” she wrote. “I woulda liked a phone call maybe.”
Showrunner I. Marlene King sent her own tweet about the cancelation rumor. “We light candles for a S3 pickup,” she wrote, hoping that Freeform would give them a third season. Marlene was the showrunner of the major Freeform hit Pretty Little Liars.
That wasn’t the end of Marlene’s tweeting. She put to rest rumors that she and Bella didn’t get along on set. “I am not in a feud w @bellathorne,” she wrote. Bella retweeted this too, agreeing with the sentiment. This isn't the first time Bella's been accused of unprofessional behavior on set, though.
