Former
Today Show co-host
Ann Curry warned NBC’s management team about
Matt Lauer’s sexual misconduct in 2012, according to the
Washington Post.Ann revealed to the publication that a woman who worked for the network came to her for help claiming that Matt sexually harassed her.
“A woman approached me and asked me tearfully if I could help her,” Ann recalled. “She was afraid of losing her job. . . . I believed her.”
Adding, “I told management they had a problem and they needed to keep an eye on him and how he deals with women.”
However, an NBC spokesman said the company has no record of her warning and added that there was no mention of the incident in the disgraced journalist’s personnel file.
NBC also noted that Andrew Lack was not at the network at the time.

The report comes on the heels of Variety’s report that NBC’s Tom Brokaw—the newsman who manned the anchor desk for NBC Nightly News for 22 years and hosted Today and Meet the Press—sexually harassed Linda Vester.
Linda, a war correspondent for the network in the 90’s, claimed that Tom tried to force her to kiss him on two separate occasions, groped her in a NBC conference room and showed up at her hotel room uninvited.

Brokaw denied the allegations in a statement, saying he made “no romantic overtures” toward Vester in two brief meetings.
