Shocking Update About Brad Pitt's Alleged Child Abuse Scandal

After Brad Pitt was accused of child abuse against one of his and Angelina Jolie's six children — Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8 — RadarOnline discovered the Los Angeles Police Department is not investigating Brad for these allegations, contrary to previous reports. "He is not under investigation by the LAPD at this time," a source told Radar.

Brad was accused of drinking, blowing up, and getting "physical" in front of Angelina and some of their kids last Wednesday on their private plane.

The shocking report came right on the heels of Angelina filing for divorce from Brad on Sept. 20. According to court docs, she noted their split happened on Sept. 15, one day after the alleged incident.

"He takes the matter very seriously and says he did not commit any abuse of his children," an insider told PEOPLE. "It's unfortunate that people involved are continuing to present him in the worst possible light," added the source.

As Star reported, Angelina is still seeking sole physical custody of the children.

After Brangelina's divorce announcement rocked the entertainment industry, Brad came forward to make a statement: "I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the well-being of our kids.I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."
