Minka Kelly Awkwardly Swerves Question From ‘Today’ Host Jenna Bush Hager About Boyfriend Dan Reynolds

Minka Kelly remained tight-lipped about her relationship with Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds during an awkward moment on TODAY With Jenna & Friends. 

“Speaking about the holidays and love and this rom com, you have a very big love in your life right now,” Jenna Bush Hager began during an interview with the actress, 45, as she spoke about her new film Champagne Problems on Tuesday, November 18. “Talk about your relationship if you feel comfortable.”

Kelly appeared visibly taken aback by the inquiry, as her body recoiled in shock and she began to look elsewhere, seemingly for a publicist to step in.

“I think you posted this b-day message saying he healed wounds he didn’t inflict,” Hager pushed. “That’s beautiful.”

“Yeah, it is beautiful. I feel very lucky,” Kelly simply responded. “He’s a really good guy.”

Hager appeared to get the hint as she laughed, “It sounds like you don’t want to talk about it. That’s fine.”

The post Hager was referring to was a birthday tribute Kelly shared in July for the musician, 38.

“I thought I knew kindness. Love. Patience. Generosity. Care. I thought I knew how to be gentle,” the Friday Night Lights alum captioned a sweet selfie. “And then I met him.”

“Thank you for loving me,” she continued. “Thank you for blessing my life in ways I never thought possible – but always dreamed of.”

The private couple was first introduced by mutual friends in 2022. Reynolds revealed they bonded over their projects–his Loom album and her memoir, Tell Me Everything.

“[It] ended up being a really beautiful thing and brought us a lot closer,” he told People in July 2024.
