‘Melrose Place’ Alum Patrick Muldoon Announced New Film Just Two Days Before Death at 57
Actor and producer Patrick Muldoon has died suddenly at the age of 57.
The former star of Days of Our Lives and Melrose Place star passed away on Sunday April 19, his manager confirmed to Variety.
According to Deadline the actor suffered a heart attack, which was the cause of death.
The news comes just two days after actor Muldoon posted on social media that he had a new job.
On Friday, April 17, he told fans on Instagram he was producing new movie Kockroach.
He shared that filming was taking place in Australia and the cast includes Chris Hemsworth and Channing Tatum.
Muldoon added that he was “so excited” to be part of the amazing project.
Muldoon played Austin Reed in hit soap Days of Our Lives from 1992 until 1995, returning for a second stint from 2011 until 2012.
He also played the villainous Richard Hart for three seasons in another soap, Melrose Place, from 1995 until 1996.
He had numerous film roles over the years including playing Zander Barcalow in the 1997 film Starship Troopers.
His latest film Dirty Hands is due to be released later this year.
As per Variety, Muldoon is survived by his partner, Miriam Rothbart, his parents, Deanna and Patrick Muldoon Sr. and his sister and brother-in-law Shana and Ahmet Zappa, and their children, Muldoon’s beloved niece Halo and nephew Arrow.
