Meghan Markle’s Dad Thomas Markle Receives Her Letter After His Leg Amputation: ‘Safely in His Hands’

Meghan Markle‘s estranged father, Thomas Markle, has gotten his daughter’s message.

Thomas is currently in a hospital in the Philippines recovering from an emergency leg amputation last week. As Star previously published, the With Love, Meghan star wrote her father a letter and has reportedly been trying to reach her dad since he fell ill.

On Wednesday, December 10, a representative for the As Ever founder, 44, told People, “With the support of reliable and trusted contacts, her correspondence is now safely in his hands.”

On Friday, December 5, Meghan’s spokesperson told People: “I can confirm she has reached out to her father.”

However, Thomas then told The Mail On Sunday in an article published Saturday, December 6, that he was “confused” by reports that the Suits alum “reached out,” as he had yet to receive any communication.

Additionally, Meghan’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, shared multiple posts on X insinuating the media personality had not been in contact with their dad.

Then on Tuesday, December 9, Us Weekly reported that the mother of two — who shares Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4, with her husband Prince Harry — “called hospitals in the Philippines” when she first discovered her dad was hospitalized.

Meghan and her dad have been estranged since her 2018 wedding to Harry, 41, as Thomas was caught staging paparazzi pictures days before her big day.
